Deployed Engineers runs a training and placement program for data and AI engineers at deployedengineers.com. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with a Google or Microsoft account, we receive your name and email address. We never see or store your password.
- What you tell us. Your role, years of experience, location, LinkedIn profile URL, and anything you write in the profile or chat. All of it is optional except your account email.
- How you use the program. Which steps you have completed, when you last signed in, and messages exchanged with us.
We do not collect payment card details. If you buy a membership, your card information is entered on our payment provider's own page and never reaches our systems.
Why we use it
- To build and personalise your learning path.
- To run the program: tracking progress, answering questions, and running office hours.
- To email you about sessions and program updates, which you can switch off at any time.
- To introduce you to hiring companies, as described below.
Automated profile generation
The description you write about yourself is sent to a third-party AI service to generate your recommended track and level. Please do not include sensitive personal information in that text. The result is a suggestion only, and a human decides what is actually assigned to you.
Sharing with hiring companies
A core purpose of this program is helping you get hired. If you add your LinkedIn URL, we may share your profile, progress, and LinkedIn with companies looking to hire. If you would rather we did not, remove your LinkedIn URL from your profile or email us and we will exclude you.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate: cloud hosting and database services, an email delivery service, an AI processing service, a payment processor, and a video conferencing service for office hours. They process data only to provide those services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. A current list is available on request at deployedengineers@gmail.com.
We send program emails such as office hours invitations and occasional updates. You can turn these off with the Email updates toggle in your profile, or by replying and asking. Opting out does not remove your account or your access.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your profile and messages, though we may retain basic records of any payment where we are required to.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. You can edit most of your details yourself from your profile. For anything else, email deployedengineers@gmail.com and we will action it. We do not sell your personal information.
Where this program operates
Deployed Engineers is intended for participants in the United States, and information is stored and processed there.
Security
Access to enrollee data is restricted to the program administrator. Screenshots and course material are stored privately. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid putting sensitive personal information into free-text fields.
Children
This program is intended for working professionals and students aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you by email if the change is significant.
